Uncovering and solving business pain points through strategic analysis and qualitative solutions

CLIENT:

Non-profit wildlife and conservation organization.

CHALLENGE:

The internal software program was nearing end of life and negatively impacting internal processes and revenue.

VALIDATE:
  • Review existing and historical system and business data
  • Co-facilitate a discovery workshop to hear directly from users of the system
  • Facilitate contextual interviews of all business departments to understand day-to-day tasks and uncover pain points
  • Conduct user interviews to gain deeper insights into identified pain points uncovered during contextual interviews
  • Document workflows based upon data from contextual interviews and user interviews
UX SOLUTION:
  • Analyze workflows to improve usability and eliminate unnecessary manual processes
  • Provide prioritized recommendations based upon the patterns found within the qualitative and quantitative data
  • Create proto-personas to create stakeholder and committee alignment
  • Collaborate with lead product strategist, lead developer and lead stakeholder to provide cross-functional strategic and viable recommendations to improve usability of the system and increase revenue
RESULT:
  • All recommendations approved for development, expected to launch Q3 2024
